Organic Linen Organic linen is grown without synthetic herbicides nor pesticides, needs no other irrigation than that provided by rainfall, and is also a valuable carbon dioxide absorber: 3.7 tons of CO2 per hectare. It produces almost no waste as every part of the plant is used (seeds, oils, paper and textiles are all linen byproducts). Linen is strong and durable, it can absorb up to 20 % of its weight in water and it releases humidity quickly. It is breathable and a natural thermoregulator. As as a poetic detail, its blue flowers are in bloom only two weeks of the year. Our linen supplier is GOTS certified. The flax from which our organic linen is made, was grown and processed in France, spun and woven in Belgium. |
